UGA students, faculty, and staff with a valid UGA ID who wish to use the 3D printers in the McBay Science Library Makerspace must first complete online modules and a hands-on session with the equipment. Please note, only original content, meaning designs created by you, may be 3D printed in the Makerspace.

Previous experience with 3D modeling and 3D printers is not required and there are no costs to use the equipment. Library accounts must be in good standing.

You must complete the online modules prior to the in-person session. After successful completion of both the online modules and the in-person training, you can independently reserve and operate the 3D printers.

After you register for your in-person session, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the online modules. If you don't receive that confirmation email with the modules, please check your Spam/Junk folder. The confirmation email will be from 'UGA Libraries Calendar.'
