Training Certification: Laser Cutting

Training Certification: Laser Cutting

In this hands-on session, you will create an item on the Dremel LC40 laser cutter. Before the session, all participants must complete online, self-paced pre-work. Pre-work involves going through the Makerspace learning modules, which take about 30 minutes. Previous experience with laser cutting is not required.

UGA students, faculty, and staff who wish to use the laser cutter in the Science Library Makerspace must first complete this hands-on session and the associated pre-work. After completion, participants are certified to independently run the laser cutter.

This training session is free and open to all UGA students, faculty, and staff with a valid UGA ID. Library accounts must be in good standing, so please pay any fines or return any late books before attending the session.

Once you confirm registration, feel free to start working on the required learning modules.

Please note the seat availability before registering, which is above the blue Begin Registration button below. If there are 0 seats available, you may still register for this session date, but you will be placed on a waitlist and will be notified if another person cancels their registration.
