3D Design and Printing workshop
In this one and a half hour session, participants learn how to create and print a 3D model with MakerBot Replicator 3D printers. We use Tinkercad, a free CAD software from Autodesk. We ask that participants create a Tinkercad account and complete the Let's Learn Tinkercad! tutorial before their session, as to be familiar with this tool. This workshop includes pair-work.
Completion of this workshop is required to use the 3D printers at the Science Library Makerspace. After successful completion of the 3D Design and Printing workshop, participants may use the Science Library Makerspace 3D printers independently. Previous experience with 3D printers is not required.
This workshop is free and open to all UGA students, staff, and faculty with a valid UGA ID.
