Palestinian Embroidery (Tatreez) Workshop

Palestinian Tatreez is an ancient tradition of embroidery that has been passed down through generations of women for over 3,000 years. It has its roots in the Canaanite civilization and is traditionally used to decorate dresses, called 'thobe/athwab' in Arabic. There are approximately hundreds of motifs and combinations that symbolize nature and connect the dress wearer to their villages and towns.
