3D Printing In-Person Training ~ undergraduate led

3D Printing In-Person Training ~ undergraduate led

Please note, only original content, designs created by you, may be 3D printed in the UGA Library Makerspace.

***You MUST complete online training modules located in the Makerspace ELC Course before attending an in-person training!***

Participants will learn basic 3D modeling and how to independently operate the MakerBot Sketch Print 3D Printers and Ultimaker Cura Software from an undergraduate peer. Work is completed through self-paced, online modules and a quiz followed by a hands-on session to learn how to safely operate the 3D printers and use the printing software. You can access our 3D printing learning guides and quiz at the Makerspace ELC Course here: https://uga.view.usg.edu/d2l/le/discovery/view/course/2114985

After successful completion of BOTH the online training and in-person training, individuals may independently reserve and operate the MakerBot Sketch Sprint 3D printers.

Previous experience with 3D modeling and 3D printers is not required. There is no cost to use the equipment. Library accounts must be in good standing. This training is open to all UGA students.

After you register for your in-person session, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Makerspace ELC Course where you can find the online modules, quiz, and extra 3D printing resources. If you don't receive that confirmation email with the modules, please check your Spam/Junk folder for a confirmation email from 'Reservations @ UGA Libraries.'
