Intro to E-Textiles
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of electronic textiles (e-textiles). What is conductive fabric, and how does it work? What are some methods for powering your e-textile? What are e-textiles used for, anyway? We’ll think through the multi-disciplinary aspects of e-textiles, and design our own simple circuits using conductive thread, LEDs, and resistors.
No previous experience required; hand sewing experience preferred. All supplies provided. If you do not know how to hand-sew, please consider attending one of the Hand Embroidery workshops on September 30th or October 7th. For more info, please visit https://www.libs.uga.edu/science/makerspace/
This workshop is free and open to all UGA students, staff, and faculty with a valid UGA ID.
